Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Surfactant
is a provincial grade key experimental base approved in Oct. of 1997 by
Zhejiang Science Committee, Zhejiang Planning Economy Committee and Zhejiang
Financial Office.The lab specialises in R&D new technologies of surfactant key projects and application technology.
 Contents
——Research and development of new green surfactants;
——Theory and application research on physicochemical properties of surfactants;
——New technology and equipments of surfactants synthesis;
——Application in industry of surfactants;
——Research on biodegradability and safety evaluation of surfactants.
 Achievements
In past three years, the experimental base has accumulatively completed
15 scientific researching and industrializing projects, 23 technical service
and transference projects. The investment in research, development and
industrialization reaches RMB 8.6 million. Two items are awarded the title
of national invention patent, four items are applying for the patent,
and one wins third prize for technologic advancement of Zhejiang Province.
In central periodicals, over 40 dissertations are published. The accumulated
sales income is RMB 180 million. The main fruits include research and
development, and industrialization of surfactant processing by SO3 sulphonating
from phosphatide of soybeans, ammonium sulphate of alcohol (ether), application
research of using surfactant to process nanometer calcium carbonate, AP
grease antioxidant, fatty acid monoethanol amide, new type leather fatliquoring
agent by SO3 gas-phase sulphonation, research of SPS structure and performance,
fatty acid methyl ester sulfonic acid (salt), sulphonate betaine, phosphoric
acid ester of alcohol (ether), ammonium of xyol sulfonate and heavy alkylbenzene
sulfonic acid, etc.
 Devices
SO3 continuous film sulphonating pilot testing and medium testing
device, medium testing device of natural fat and oil surfactant, general
medium testing device for fine chemicals, gas chromatography-mass spectrometers,gas
phase chromatograph,high performance liquid chromatograph, atom-absorbing
spectrophotometer, capillary electrophoresis device, ultraviolet spectrophotometer,
fluorescence spectrophotometer, thin layer chromatography, nitrogen determination
apparatus, surface tension apparatus, decontamination apparatus, foam
apparatus, precise thermostat, rotating drum, etc.
 Researching group
There are over 30 full-time personnel working in experimental base, in
which there are 5 professor grade senior engineers, 8 senior engineers,
and 12 engineers. A qualified, stable and structure-rational researching
team has formed, and a group of inter-disciplinary talent is trained specializing
in management, marketing and scientific research.
 Opening and cooperative
The experimental base is open to the outer society. It employs experts
and professors to undertake scientific researching projects and training
of talent. Through cooperation with colleges, research institutes and
enterprise, a researching and developing group is constituted, incorporating
production, study and research. The experimental base has also set up
Approval Fund for scientific research, supporting the technical innovative
work relating to or interlinking with the research of our base. It is
a powerful backup for base’s development.
